Caption: At 0800 on Wednesday, May 18, 2005, veterans from all wars and their supporters will leave from the T&A Truck Stop at the junction of I-10 & I-15 in Ontario, CA, on their annual pilgrimage across the heartland of America on Run For The Wall XVII. Most will be riding motorcycles on a mission to create a groundswell of support for American PRISONERS OF WAR and MISSING IN ACTION from all wars, and to help those injured by war to heal. This 10 day, cross-country journey will include ceremonies with veterans and civic organizations, visits to war memorials, visits with VA hospital patients, and other stops to make sure our POW-MIA's are remembered. In Washington, DC, on Memorial Day, the RFTW group will unite with other riders from all over the country to form Rolling Thunder XVIII, a Welcome Home and We Have Not Forgotten Parade from the Pentagon to the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial. I'll be Cowboying Up this year as a Fucking New Guy (FNG) with the guys below for two days on RFTW ... we'll spend the first night in Williams, AZ ... second night in Gallup, NM after going to Window Rock with the Navajo Indian Nation ... have been told it is an awesome ceremony. From Gallup the boys below will turn around and head back to CA ... I'll head head north to Durango, CO to hook up with a Desert Storm buddy to spend two days riding the Rockies before I head back home. While I'm with RFTW I'll be flying colors in memory of our guys who gave all and for James Rodney Moore, our MIA. Pictures to follow. Semper Fidelis Harry Parmer 66-67
