PHOTO 0854
Caption: This is a photo of L/Cpl Steven Pasieka sweeping highway 1. Stationed at Charlie Co. 9th Engrs Btn USMC,on Hill 29. I believe the photo is from March/April/May 1968, and the nearest Marine behind me was Tom from Kentucky. He liked to talk about having a good Kentucky Bourbon. "I remeber receiving this picture in the mail, along with a few others. At the age of 13, just like the age of 53, I was never so proud of him. Years before that in Brooklyn, I have seen him in real action in the streets of Greenpoint,NY. He was born to be a Marine, along with his M14 Buddies.I never had a chance to say thanks to his Friends.Thank You for sending him home." Ken Pasieka
